Tincture Question?

After watching the Sweet Baby Ruth tincture method
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iB9rgGrAomY&feature=channel_page)
I have a few questions...

1. Can you use freshly cut trim or should the material be frozen or dried?
2. What should the temperature be while storing for 30 days?
3. What is the ratio of alcohol to plant matter for a STRONG concoction?
4. Is this method as efficient as hash or budder, etc?
5. What is the potential shelf life of the final product?

I want to try this, but I need to know if this method utilizes ALL of the cannabinoids and thc because I need to get the most "bang for my buck" as I will have a limited amount of material to work with. If not, could you possibly point me in the direction of a better method to use with freshly cut trim?

I am mostly concerned with question 1. Thank you for ANY advice in advance. :blsmoke:

it needs to be dry, put it in a paper bag in the sun and it will dry rather fast. just dont leave it too long. shelf life is not something you should worry about.

Alright, I'll do that... Is there any specific reason why it needs to be dry? Just curious.
