how do i change the timer on my aerogarden to 12/12. My plant is in its 9th week and i dont see any buds.
Mr. Incognito: that can depend a lot on which model you have. Mine are all 6 and 7 years old 7 holes Classics and they don't have the versatility of the newer units.
1. RTFB- most of what you need to know is already in the operator's manual that came with your unit.
2. If you lost it, it's on line and you can get it there.
3. If all else fails, call customer service at A/G, just don't tell them what you're growing.
4. If you have an older model, like I do, go to Harbor Freight Tools, or most any hardware store and buy a Christmas tree lights timer, (usually $5 to $10).
5. You'll also need a "figure 8" cord from the radio shack or the 99 cents store. Believe it or not, the one at the 99 cents store is just as good.
Here's how you do it:
1. Disconnect the power to your unit.
2. Unplug the cord to your lights hood that coming up from the base of your unit.
3. Plug the figure 8 cord end into your lamp hood socket. You'll see it's the figure 8 configuration.
4. Set your timer and plug it into the wall socket.
5. Plug your male end of the figure 8 cord into the timer and you should be good to go.
