Timer help

I have one of these timers and cant figure it out how to work it to save my life. I should of spent the extra 5 bucks for the digital one. So before i smash this thing on the ground and get a new one can someone help me out please. Thx
 
i think you put the arrow at what time it is then push all the pins down on the time you want it on so for 12 on 12 off half the pins along the out side of the dial should be down

Looks like the one i bought.. Yeah, it's a real pain in the ass to figure out... the black part around the outside of the dial should be split up into small little individual pieces (might take a magnifying glass to see, lol)... they are 15 minute intervals... so for the distance between 6 am and 7 am, there will be 4 little prongs.. they push down.. It took me like 2 hours to figure it out... then i laughed at my high ass... :bigjoint:

Push down all the pieces for the time you want the light on (atleast that's how mine was, it may be backwards though)... Set the dial at the current time, plug it in, and turn the switch on...

Duh!! I have been sittin here trying to figure it out for like 2 hrs. Good looks. so if its 4 oclock i set the black arow on 4(correct)? Should i flip the little tabs down going from 4-16 for twelve hours. The tabs flipped down is power on or off?
