timeline

this is my first attempt at growing. My plants are only 1 week old but i want to be prepared. I am trying inside with sunlight and flourescents now. when should i change lighting to 12/12?
any other tips are greatly appreciated.

it all depends on your surroundings- do you have unlimited heighth?? if yes then I would veg for abot 30 days with a flouro- thats a typical no.

If you are using a flouro, make sure to keep your plant within inches of the light.

are you going to use the flouro the whole way through?? if yes then I would suggest getting some CFL's as well.. If you are just going to use that flouro- u might be disappointed with the final outcome

either get a 250watt or 400wattHPS HID for flower or use the sun to flower. if they are from seed it will take 4-6 weeks till mature enough to flower. you can before but it is recomended that you wait till there are alternating node arrangements. you have a few things to worry about. light, ventilation, food, and water, and pests. take a gander at the grow FAQ when you get the chance, if you havent already.
