Time to harvest! Trichome Pics!!!

Hey all, I've just taken a pic of my trichs through my 100x magnifier.....it's so cool!! Check it out below! This cola is getting chopped later today! :joint:

oh yeah, sorry, I was so excited about my trich picture that I forgot about the money shot! LOL!! This was her a couple of days ago. Check out my journal/gallery for more bud shots.

and this one is a pic of the 2nd cola that will probably get cut down later today as well. Not checked the trichs on this one yet, but I'm sure they'll be just like the other one, turning a nice amber, ready for harvest! :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:
 
Thanks guys, I'm very, very pleased with my first harvest! It's finally payback time for all my hard work and effort!!

So, here's some pics of what I just harvested. These are colas from the above 2 pics. 160 grams wet. I've still got 3 more plants with colas like this to harvest; and then of course all the lower buds that I am letting fatten up for another week or so. Happy Days! :mrgreen::mrgreen:

I have to say a big thanks to Rollitup.org and all it's members. Without all the great info on this site, I would probably not be harvesting such lovely buds for my first grow. Big respect!! :joint:

Oh I will mate, for sure!......but........not for another 6 weeks at least! This shit is getting the drying/curing it deserves man. Then it will burn! :mrgreen:

I got another 3-4 weeks left til flowering!
 
Great looking colas, Snow. Enjoy! Quick question, we couldn't tell for sure from the trichs pics you posted but they seemed to be cloudy or clear? Did you wait until they turned amber?

Thanks very much! :joint: Well, I thought they were more couldy/amber myself, but this is my first grow and I'm no expert. This was just from comparing mine with the "when to harvest pictures" you see in the FAQs and other places. I was going for the cloudy/amber, rather than cloudy/clear. But either way I'm totally happy, I've still got 3 other plants with big fat cola's that I've not cut down yet. These are going to get cut down next week some time. It will be good to see/compare the difference! :mrgreen:
 
Snow, maybe you should experiment a little. If you harvest when most are cloudy or light amber, you are supposed to get more of an "up" high. If you harvest when most are amber, you get more of the couch-lock high. Maybe can report back on the different highs. That would be really interesting to see the results. Good luck!

Yep, that's my plan :) I'm really curious to know how much of a difference it makes in the high. As I harvested one plant last week as well (currently curing), I should have a good range of buds to sample which were harvested at different stages of maturity. It will be interesting to sample to results.
