the pushes are when the new fresh white hairs come out then they die off turn red and recede , when around 75% of them are dried up i start watching trichs , it usually takes around 3 pushes ...... and ya you still have a few weeks 2 at least hardly any swelling going on
...... also i was reading the other day on how smoking bud chopped early robs you of R.E.M. sleep and long term can cause mental instability of sorts .... so its not just a quality or quantity thing .... its actually not healthy to smoke premie buds long term

ok mate, I get ya. Om a little ways off then. Gotta be a good thing as I should get a lot more weight than I'm seein now. I'm not an impatient. Grower lol..
I wait as long as it takes to get the best and most I can possibly pull of it.

I may be in a minority but I ignore trich colors and harvest on pistils alone.

I've been doing this awhile so I feel after you have a few runs you get an innate sense of when these things are hitting the home stretch.

However look at the pistils, when most are red and most importantly receded into the bud they are about done.

From the looks of yours I'd say 3-4 weeks. Don't harvest early as with both Autos and Photos the last week or two of bloom is when they really fatten up.

Like I said I'm in the minority of ignoring trich colors. Not saying it is wrong but people have harvested cannabis without loupes for thousands of years. As a budding commercial grower it is of the utmost importance I get as much weight as I can out of my plants, so this is the best advice I can give.

I don't do a lot of autos anymore but I am doing a run of Sweet Seeds soon for personal consumption! Thinking Bloody Skunk, Afghani Delicious, and Sweet Cheese. Love the Red Poison too though. Good choice, Sweet Seeds will be number 1 in the Auto community very soon.

awsome, cheers for your input mate, you could be rather helpful to me, especially as I'm looking to scale up my grow... If ya get what I'm saying lol. I know exactly what your saying about harvesting for thousands of years with out a loop lol... I'm keeping a close eye on the pistils turning amber, some of the buds on a couple of plants are actually starting to turn amber quite quickly now...over the last two days, the plants are either dying or starting to mature, I kinda expected em to mature a little slower than iv observed. I'm not an impatient grower... No worry about me pullin em down to early lol. I want the yeild to be max... With out compromising on quality obviously. I'm gonna be getting another crop on the how as soon as these finish, I'm thinking of Dutch passion think different due to yeild... If not iv got some photo period Martian mean green seeds to try. I'm gonna upgrade from cfl to hps. Just gotta get an ait cooled hood or cool tube so u can keep temps down.
