The little leaves in the lower part of my clone seem to be getting little to no direct sunlight. If i tilted that part of the plant towards the sun would it stimulate growth ?

umm dont worry about it man...the lower leaves will get the nutrients and uv rays needed from the taller nad bigger leaves...try nd cut down bushes or even trees that can be blocking sun light...or move it to a more open area...usually the plant will naturally tilt itself towards the light if its direct so no worries..let er grow...how big is it?

Hey man, I was too alittle worried about the lower areas of my plants getting light so wat I did was went to Walmart and bought 2 50watt CFL bulbs ($8.00 per) that put out an impressive 5,000 lumens per bulb max. The bulb claims to be equivalent to a 150watt stanard bulbs..I also picked up to pull chain fixtures capable of up to 600wats of power which were only $4.00 a peice.. Then I placed them on anything i could find to rasie them just enuff to be above the pots walls and I did notice a large change in growth in the lower mid areas and the plants all seemed to get a little greener. Im in the flowering stage now so I also noticed increased bud cites as well in the lower areas.. Below I attached pictures of wat the bulbs look like hope it helps u

Can you please explain how the upper leaves create nutrients for the lower leaves? I love seeing people give bad advice on numerous threads. This should be pretty hilarious dude so make sure you respond.

That is directly quoted from your first post in this thread. Now please tell me how the plants get the nutrients from the upper leaves? Do some research before you type bullshit to people looking for legitimate advice. I have only seen you post false information of just terrible advice. wtf man i just told you re read my post..all i see from you is hating on evry single post of people that you think are incorrect when there not...the lower leaves get the nutes and uv from the upper leaves because they F'ing distribute it throught the plant so get off my case..do you kno what distribute means...like come on get a life

if each individual leaf needed direct sunlight to grow then you wud be kinda fuked...when my plants flower they get mad bushy and some leafs dont get dick all...but do they still grow yes..do you knoow why..because THE BIGGER ONES AND UPPER LEAVES distribute the nutes and uv rays from the sun throught the enitre plant..ive had enough if this im here to help not argue..later hater

Nutrients can travel from the upper leaves down to the lower ones, this has been proven by foliar feeding radiated nutrients and testing for said radiation in lower limbs later.
But as far as UV rays being transported through plant fiber is unlikely at best.
Maybe fiber optics will "bend light", but not plant fiber. As far as I know.

Yes plants can get nutrients from the upper leaves when foliar feeding that is correct sureshot. The problem is there was absolutely no mention of foliar feeding until you came in and said it. Ryeguy was making it seem like the plants could just magically pull nutrients from the sky or something. And just cause you got rep doesn't mean you know what you are talking about dude. I have more rep than you dude so rep points have nothing to do with what you know. Ryeguy do you foliar feed? What nutrients do you use and how do you apply it? You seem to have so much knowledge on plants taking nutrients in from there upper leaves. Can you shoot a link to your grow? yaya...plants can still transfer nutrients naturally from the sun...they dont jus pull nutes from the sky..like come on..are you serious...our bodys must just pull the uv rays from the sky when we get burned to eh?..i have no time for you..i dont post my grows on this website..if you wana know how to foliar feed look it up..i have no time for you..tryin to act all friendly..only because you sense defeat...im sure your plants look healthy as hell...and i gues ur right about the rep thing but who cares no ones perfect...and i just post these things im just trying to help..you dont have to take my info to heart just something to think about...have a good season...later hater

Where is all this talk about nutrients coming from the sun/sky coming from? Im sorry to let you know but the nutes dont come from above they come from BELOW.. and BELOW ONLY unless humans spray them on the plant.. Thats one of the many jobs of the root system. Also, leafs (no matter what size they are) dont not transport any colors of the spectrum to other parts of the plant. Leafs made available to light are the only ones able to generate energy then IF available is distributed to other areas of the plant in need.

well than my grade 12 academic biology teacher must be lying to me and wasted 5 years in university when she sais that nutrients come from the sun and therefore are absorbed by the leaves...obv you can add nutes and shit but NATURAL nutes still come from the sun...if we didnt have sun we wud die..plants need it we need it...ive had enough of this post...i know whos right and whos wrong...so be it...i made a mistake when saying uv rays can be distributed got a lil carried away...but the plants do still absorb the uv rays..peace..literally
