tighter buds

my buds are real fluffy and light. What can i do to get tighter buds? ++reps for good advise. using cfls in soil with bagseed

more cfl's
hps
molasses
if its a sativa,they tend to have airy looking buds

when u say molasses r u talking bout syrup? how does it affect taste of the bud?

Yes, get a HPS light... CFLs will never produce tight buds...

works awesome. feed one full tablespoon, to a 2L bottle use every watering. But for real tight buds move those CFL's as close as you can to the plant within 1-2 inches.

WRONG! If your dilligent in keeping your CFL's close all their grow cycle, you can producde tight buds. I have pictures to prove.

ya just make sure your cfls are hitting all the areas of the plant, sides and top to get the best grow.

yes he is right you can add more lights and get them as close as you can to your plant also you can consider using some reflective material to give your plant as much light as you possibly can. right now you plant is reaching or stretching for light. so don't be affraid to brighten up your plant

Trimming up the lower portion of the plant should put more energy into the colas. It might tighten up your buds some. I would go HPS too though. While CFL's may have the ability to do it.... HPS will do it easier.
