Tie Down Durring Flowering

I've had my plants in 12/12 for a while now and all of them are flowering. one of which has grown too tall and was getting burnt on the lights so I read every opinion I could find and it seemed like for everyone who said I couldn't tie it down there was someone else who said I could. So I did. I've never down this before and figured I don't have much to loose. so, what do you think, good idea or bad idea?

Good idea, give her time and she will grow upright at the bend. I tied my top over check it out.

old thread here, but i'm in the same situation right now too

i am 24 days into flowering, the top colas one one of them are about to touch the glass on my hps lamp any day now, i'm debating on ghetto rigging the grow cabinet/lamp to give me 2 1/2 more inches at most, or tie down my flowering plant, i think i'm going to give it a go with the tie down, here's hoping i don't break anything!

Look into my album and you will see I had to lst a 6'7" kush. Like 3 weeks into 12/12.
 
Oh yeah thats them in my avatar and signature. See how I Lsted them. I used bamboo and made a Y at the top to support the bud. Also you must remember to untie the limb and allow some room for growth otherwise she could bend into a elbow and then snap.

just tied her down, that gave me quite a few inches, and they aren't really bent THAT much, haha

i'll be monitoring it daily, and adjusting the tie downs as needed
