that's an interesting set up how dose it work? Also vary pretty plants
Thanks, essentially it's just a an aqua pump pumping a nutrient solution through two 5" tubes which at the end drops back in a 14gal reservoir. It's an AeroFlo clone but with a higher level (in height not ppm) of nutrient solution in the tubes flowing through it faster. The sprayers are left-overs from being an aero-wannabe :) (aero is for deserts and outerspace where water usage is a major issue ).

Sounds like a fun way to grow, How do you like it? The plants seem to love it. Organic or syn. nutes?
Synthetic (used to grow soil organic). Only base nutes (350-400ppm), no boosters, stims, shooters, hardeners, ripeners, teas, bleach/h202, bennies etc. Just water and the only essential elements a plant can actually take up and use. How do I like it? Don't get me started... Currently on the 5th run and no desire to really change anything. It's like reggae:

Basically all I do is keep the contents of the reservoir withing a ph range (5.5-6.2), ppm range (currently 350-400, last run 480ppm, depending partly on usage but always below the sweetspot) and last but not least a temp range (below 69f). In practice that means adding a few bottles of water and occasionally some extra nutes (rarely use ph up/down except for after refresh of rez). It's like watering a single plant (with the obvious downside they all get the same amount and ratio of nutes, not always desirable with different phenos/strains from seed). The system allows me to focus on the positive aspect and traits of my plants rather than trying to grow (they grow themselves if you provide a good environment including root zone).

I could write a few pages about why it (deep NFT / dft) is the best hydroponic system for cannabis but most of the more active people in the hydro forums aren't about keeping simple and many think they can 'invent' the next hot hydro system. They all want to be the next Earl or Heath Robinson (don't take that as a recommendation for info, earl was a major fire hazard, but they deserve some credit). The thing is, a very similar setup as mine was posted many years ago already, by Earl, 7 years ago: https://www.rollitup.org/t/aeroponic-space-shuttle.38569/ That topic brought me here (yeah blame him  ). The main difference with mine is that my tubes have end caps with an offset hole (going from 5" tube to 40mm return pipe), 1 rez instead of two (although he basically interconnect two into one) and I don't need the sprayers. Which makes it similar to Heath Robinsons Flooded Tubes: https://www.rollitup.org/t/heaths-flooded-tube-vertical.149998/ (unfortunately missing the pics, google 'heath robinson vertical flooded tubes' for awesome pics).

See you got me started...
