where are the kids starting their first top at nowadays? i’m thinking i’m gonna start top between 4-5 nodes. then start LST. should be able to top a few within a week.
I try to LST only. Sometimes one top whether accidental or not, but not until they are much older than those two week old plants.

But the bigger question is why is your perlite brown?

do you guys prefer starting in a smaller pot and transplanting? or starting in final homes? maybe only for autos? what do you guys think? we’re pheno hunting right now and i’m going to be starting these new beans in their final homes. i’m excited to see the difference in how they grow being started in big 5G fabs vs 1gl plastics/fabs

last light for the 2nd 4x8 will be here monday!
buying the fans this weekend.

i also have a question about my exhausts… but i’ll post it tonight.

Everything I run goes from starter pots to final pots. They got one transplant and love it.

i wish i could change the name of this post lol

so i got some more fans in, and since i’m using these two 4x8s for VEG only i connected them (kind of) putting my final light in tomorrow. i’ve been debating for a week now. and what i’m going to put in this big open space is a 5x10 flowering tent.

i did manage to order some three way duct splitters. so now i’ll be able to run all my exhausts to one main exhaust and dump all of it into one of my storage rooms.

anyone have any other suggestions on what i could do with the empty space in the middle of the room?

also, i believe it’s a cookies autoflower from ethos.. but it topped itself! i’ve seen this happen to plenty of people and it finally happened to me lmao. my autoflower topped itself. 7BFE2377-14CA-466C-B56E-40D4D56325CC.jpeg2F201888-6EB7-47C4-B1A3-9E2C722B5FE0.jpegE7E967B8-5BA5-4CCA-BB40-83E6BD39578F.jpegF09DD1C4-524B-4E0E-89EC-1C84403B8A20.jpeg963958A3-4C49-4AC9-AA62-C59044FDD141.jpeg707D4FAA-25B2-47C6-9A54-3D1EDC9F83F4.jpeg

I wouldn’t stress shocking the plants transplanting. Even autos as mentioned before. If I was running a auto and after my first transplant.. she begged for more than 4 weeks without pistils showing, I may go up a size. By then roots should have the place surrounded behind the walls of the pot. I’ve seen some pretty big autos, so I won’t ever sleep on it again. Here’s a link with some info on it if it intrigues you.

As far as the space in the middle of the room.. do you have a cloning station set up? Or care to have one? Some tables, trays/domes/heat mats & floro’s and you could have yourself set to fill a tent space quicker than usual. Should help with turn around time.

I have a similar setup with a 4x8 attached to a 6x6 tent. I recently started alternating the tents so that I have two smaller harvests every 1 1/2 months or so, instead of one full harvest every three.
