With the scenario with both having 8 plants but one having 11 lights compared to 8 lights, will the one with 11 lights yield that much more ?

PS when this post gets posted as compared to when your create it, it posts with the top light being over to the left margin as compared to being in the middle of the two plants. As well as the lines that have just plants it adjusts everything over to the left margin, and not all centred with how it was created.

The second option you put, is my guess for best layout. Its how Im running mine, each plant has even coverage from 3 bulbs at the same time.

Your question has many variables, such as strain? Light type? Wattage? Space? and even Medium (hydro or soil)

Thanks guys for your replies, I really appreciate your answers.

Strain will be Barneys Critical Kush.

Lights will be 1000 watt bare bulbs, i was originally going to have 11 lights as per the lay out of vertical bulbs that would be used in a 8 bucket UC set up, then I saw the staggered lights where a 8 bucket only used 8 lights.

This will be hydro, ebb and flow buckets, each bucket is 6 gallons.

This grow will initially be utilizing 5 ton cooling, in each of the two flip rooms.

This will be water cooled with Hydro innovations 10 ton chiller. Each room will have two 5 ton air handlers, and again only one of the 5 ton air handlers turned on for first couple of runs.

The chillers will also be used to cool the ebb and flow bucket reservoirs.

C02 generators will be utilized in each room for increased c02 levels.

After 3 or 4 harvests, we are going to either increase increase number of buckets and vertical lights or run horizontal lights over each of the 8 site to utilize full 10 tons of cooling.

The build will start in August of this year when we move to new location. Just in the planning stage for everything now.

I already have the 10 ton chiller and 4 of 5 ton air handlers.

It's going to be a nice build. Rooms will 2 x 6 construction, spray foamed for insulation for an air tight C02, all the bells and whistles.

Half the fun is all the planing and the research that goes into making it an efficent enjoyable work/grow space.

Mate. Please don't use spray foam for insulation. Its generally flammable as fuck
