I bought the book "The best of ASK ED." He is an editor for high times or something, idk who he is exactly but hes a weed expert. Anyways, someone wrote in to him and he stated that male seeds sprout from the side and female seeds sprout from the top or bottom of the seed. Ed said he tested this method with 100% success.

I'm testing this now but i thought everyone should hear about this seeing as how we can all save time and money by not having to grow out all the seeds just to find out we wasted money on the males.

how do you mean "from the side"?

i have a babe going now that doesnt seem to want to stand up streight? are you saying its because its a male?

man just grow it out...i can pull up a thousand other post on how to tell a male from a female seed...

like i said idk if it is true or not, but if it is i think it would be very valuable to know. And i mean when the seed crack and the sprout starts to come out of the seed if it comes out from one of the pointed ends its supposed to be a female and if it sprouts out of the side its supposed to be a male.

If it wont stand up straight it may need more potassium and haveing an oscilateing fan that gently blows on the plant for a few minutes a day will help strengthen the stalk so it will stand up better. Dont leave a fan blowing directly on the plant all the time though, that will cause wind burn.
