thinking of LED upgrade

Can you say why you want to get the SGS? A few weeks ago I bought the XGS, based on nothing more than I figured the newest just had to be the best...

BTW, the XGS has two switches that work in combination to create three different light outputs. I asked about the switches in this thread. The Dawg gave some great input.

According to the A-51 website 24" X 36" is "ideal" for the SGS and the smallest recommended for the XGS.
 
I just got the sgs for my closet grow basically 2x3x5. Only thing you have to think about is they recommend 18" away from plants in flower. So with not a lot of vertical space you are limited to smaller plants for your cabinet.

The SGS160 is perfect for you. It is just as good as the XGS190 and has arguably a better flower spectrum, and the ability to veg in a pure white that's cooler(more blue) than the the 190. Watt for watt it's not much of a difference. The wattage comes with just a little more heat and in a small space like yours is not needed because the sgs160 is plenty for in there.

I agree with this(like:-( ).......the cree XP-e 630 nm in the sgs is arguably one of the best per watt used.

Your gonna love the panel commander compared to the pro grow.

a typo, you should see my progrow180/A51-90 combo panel ha... Dissipates more heat than light.

You will love the SGS, the only thing that would be a game changer is the lower 65w(~) switch on the xgs- and that is definitely scenario spec.. But like I said, there is speculation of a new panel from a hint dropped some time ago...

...and if I can get aWR panel with the 3-modes..
 
When I bought my XGS, the guy (can't remember his name) who owns A-51 said the 3-way switch was a new feature on the XGS. Are we sure it isn't included in the latest SGS panels?

I'll ask
