Thinking of CO2???

Im thinking of using an entire bedroom to flower in (somewhere around the 10 X 10 range)
my question is. Which would be more sufficient between CO2 bottles and burners. Either way I will more then likely use canisters so even if I use a burner it probably wont be tied to gas line but used in conjunction with a propane tank.

How much heat do burners add?
also. do I need to have any additional exhaust or intake fans in conjunction with the CO2? I see that some people shut the CO2 off a couple hours to exhaust the room and refresh the CO2.
Also, would it be a waste to run my light fans like this
Can filter>>>>>> max fan>>>>> ducting>>>> lights>>>> fan>>>> ducting outside?

You don't really want to duct outside when you run c02. Your just venting out your rather expensive gas :P

Typically what most do is seal up the room and run both an air conditioner and dehumidifier in the room and just duct the reflectors to the outside.

C02 generators are much more efficient and cost less in the long run. However, they do generate some heat and humidity. Not insane amounts though, and it can be easily managed with an air conditioner.

EDIT: One other thing to note that I did not when I bought my system. C02 canisters can be a pain in the ass to get filled. You'll often find that places that can fill them run very limited hours (ie no weekends and close early on weekdays) and in some areas you might have to drive quite a ways to find a place that fills them. Propane is available just about anywhere and just about anytime you can find a place selling propane tanks.

if you do a good job of making the room air tight co2 with bottles would be better if you have a supplier nearby that can fill your tanks. less heat in your room the better, and i dont like to have flammable gas tanks in the house lol. a burner would be cool if you wanted to tie into the natural gas line though so you dont need to refill tanks. my friend runs a similar setup and refills his 20lb tank once a month. you do not need to vent out the air in the room with co2.

fans work better pulling the air out so this would be a better setup.

outside air intake>>>>>>>>>ducting>>>>>>>>lights>>>>>>>>ducting outside

make sure your cfm on your filter matches your fan for best efficiency

you dont want to take air from inside the room to cool lights if you are running CO2. take air from outside and just run a fan on your filter to clean air in the room

Rep to you both. Also, doesnt AC exhaust the CO2 as well? Im not sure if I would be getting a window or portable AC. Probably a window due to setup

thats it, but you want to do a really good job. my friend even built a new wall and double doored the room and mudded/siliconed all cracks etc.

I thought they had 2 hoses attatches(1 intake and 1 exhaust) Is there another?

2hoses for wat a split system?

a split system just has the head in the room with 2 copper lines to the condensor outside the room, and power of course. it has an intake vent on the top usually and it cools it in the head and blows it back out so it constantly recirculates the air in the room only.

I think he is referring to a dual hose portable and you are referring to a mini split.

And yes, a dual hose portable has 2 hoses, an intake which takes air to cool the condenser from outside the room and an exhaust hose to exhaust that air that was used to cool it. Technically they are not supposed to vent any air from your room. however, I have one and they do vent a little bit of the air from inside the room. Nothing detrimental though, and if you run a generator like I do it just runs while the AC is on and keeps the level pretty much at where you have it set anyway. Takes a little longer to cool the room while the generator is running but like I said, still not that bad.

Always go for overkill on the air conditioner. The quicker you can cool your room the better off you are in just about any scenario.

o i see lol i was wondering what he meant too many blunts i guess lol. and i second overkill on the a/c only makes your life so much easier
