Thinking about moving to washington

For all the Washington growers I was just wondering what the economy and the state altogether is like, I think I would be in the collville area or somewhere on the Colombian river.

If you want to move to WA, you should really ignore the cheapness of towns East of the Cascade Mountains. Even Spokane, the 2nd largest city in WA, is a total dump, and its spiralling down economically. Eastern WA generally has a much less worldly, much more conservative culture and politics. The cops are worse there and the % of meth-types to normal people is way higher. I say this because I was born in Eastern WA. Move to Western WA, like Kitsap County. Or Olympia. Prices are high yes, but there are waaaaaay more jobs within easy reach of you and public transport is better. Plus the weather in W WA is typically very mild, and the summers rock. So f*ck E WA. Move to Seattle area. You wont regret it.

bro god told me to go spokane. and anyway ive living in a city of 10,000 people a park full of meth heads. plus im on SSI so not like i hvae the means to move else where plus conservitives i like in a military town right now its so hard core conservative where afraid of actual freedom. o and less worldly is great. last thing i need to do is move to a town full of idiots all hell bent on shoving their faces into computers tv's and cell phones plus going after becoming "greedy fascists" hate the cliche but it helps convey the point. if in the future god calls me west ward then i will as long as i can find a forest.

law is the same everywhere carry a card and your good. if your headed to spokane it seem nice. it just needs people to give a shit. i saw plant some tree's for them JMO. your not to far from nature. its got imax and AMC as you movies a mall if you like that sort of thing. the weather is firm dont see drastic temp chang. elevation at 2000+ colleges more so than here at least. morning glory gardens a river straight threw town. depends all on what your looking for.

Sadly, you are correct, but there are pockets of sanity. Ellensburg has CWU, the wine country is less ruined than the timber economies, etc. But, wages are poverty level. Always have been, which is why kids have been the No. 1 export out of E.WA for decades!

what happeneds when your medical file doesnt have anything on your current condition.
You don't get a medicinal license.

Washington State is pretty easygoing and they WANT to give you one. But you need to supply sufficient evidence (current medical records) .

Anybody know about northeast washington because that's were i'd be going.
The country north of Spokane is beautiful. Rolling hills and pine trees. Not a lot of work now that logging and cattle are in the history books. I always dreamed of retiring around Kettle Falls because it's so pretty, but simply couldn't afford to just quit and "live off the land". Winters used to be brutal, though with global warming might be easier. Wildflowers in the spring are some of the best anywhere.

Federal politics in E.WA are edgy right now. Somebody's bucking for recognition in a prospective Republican win in 2011. You might want to factor that in.

Bet it would be great growing for a hardy early finisher, but I'd definitely throw some old cow pies in the mix. Soils are very alkaline. cheers, mg
