They Wont Grow!!!

Alright guys so i decided to plant about 15 seeds about two weeks ago, and so did one of my buddies. I planted mine outdoors in my woods that i currently own. The spot i choose was open offering a ton of sunlight, i also dug up the spot before winter. My freind planted his in a pot on one of his balcaneys. Mine still havent sprouted and his are about an inch tall. I think i may have planted them a little too early (about a week and a half still left in april), or the soil or watering method i used wasnt just right.

Should i just give up on my current plants and pick a new grow spot?

Thanks Guys

soil isn't right.. has to be loose... also it doesn't matter if its december.. they will sprout..

you need to water them and keep it most when you start the germianting process

Don't just throw the seeds in the ground and hope they sprout thats to outdated. Germ them first, and to do so follow these steps or use google.
1. Grab a paper towel and a ziploc bag or CD case.
2. Run the paper towel under a sink and get it damp but not soaked.
3. Fold the paper towel in half, spread your seeds out on it and fold it once more to cover the seeds.
4. Then place it in your bag or CD case and put that in a warm dark place ( i put it by my cable box for warmth)

then in 24-72hrs your seeds should have a white taproot pop out. Plant the seed 1/4" - 1/2" under soil with the white tap root facing down. Then give it sun and wait for them to pop out of the soil in a day or more.

I found a major problem, the spot that i chose was to close to pine trees and the needles make the soil to acidic. im trying a new spot as soon as i can get some better seeds.
any other tips for growing would be helpful.

and can i use just tap water to water them? or hose water? or does it have to be distilled?

just research shit before you try to do it. and germinating before planting is a good idea, and there are a couple different way to do it.

If you want to do more than just kill seeds, buy a grow book. A $20 book will repay you ten thousand times over in a lifetime.

Yes, some folks have success without doing their homework, but then again, they are usually experienced gardeners.

With some differences, pot grows much like tomatoes.

Don't put seeds directly into the ground. Low soil temperatures will often block germination and encourage mold.

Best of luck!

I got it under control now. i got 15 lemon skunk for now. and they got tap roots that are a couple inches long. planting these ones away from the pine trees tho in loose soil...
thanks guys
