These baby's are growing!!! TIPS!!!

hey guys so I've been vegging 10 plants under a 400watt MH light...When I got them they where just single stems with a few leaves...only a8 days later and they're little little bushes already.

Stems and leafs everywhere, very dense and some of them are looking like a jungle.

-The first 2 picture are day 1 of vegging and the last 2 pictures are 8 days later. You can see the difference and the plants are a lot more full.

-Do you guys think I should cut them back???

-What should I be pruning off, if I'm going to do so???

-Can I use the topping method???

-Can I cut off those useless leafs that are growing off the main shoot??

Any feedback on plant appearance appreciated too, never grown before but in 8 days there's a big difference...

What should I be doing to these plants???

not alot of light. i'd let them lollipop like they are doing don't trim them. unless you get more light imo.

Not a lot of light??? 400watts for 10 plants I beleive is enough...

I'm not trying to grow monsters, pretty much I'd like to clone these babys and put them in my 1000watt room when it's ready...should I not cut anything off???

didn't knoiw it was only veg. how big do you want? you can always top them( use for clones) and use the lst method to keep em low but produce a lot more bud :mrgreen:

i use 100 watts+ per plant

100 watts per plant??? I've seen SOG's with 1000 watt HPS light and 50 plants that turned out amazing...

i avg 2oz+ per plant(dried and cured) you ain't doin that on a sog

dont ever cut off healthy fan leaves. they are where your plant makes and stores its energy through photosynthesis....

No not 2oz a plant but maybe 1/2 oz or even less but then x 50 plants you still end up with a lot of bud and also turnover time I hear is not as long...

When you average 2 oz a plant how many plants you doing???

I've heard of SOG's where they use a 1000watt light and yield easily 2lbs

u can top if u want
its ur pref
u got plenty of light
if and when u do prune only take off the bottom that doesnt receive sufficient light so that energy will be focused on the top portion
ur plant looks great

Thanks but if you look at the plant it's so dense...feel like I should be able to look through the canopy...

-In about a week, I want to cut clones and let these baby's go into flowering while the clones vegg and grow...

I said the first pic is my day of when I put my clones into vegg, the other 2 pics are 8 days later

the plant should be getting its side lighting from the reflected light. tie big fan leaves down to expose more light to under the canopy from the top.

Uncle Ben's Topping Technique to get 2 or 4 MAIN colas
basically let it grow to about 6 nodes,then top right above the 2nd node and u will have 4 strong main colas
