Could any telll me there thoughts on these with coco.....

Good or bad idea

They all says every where can use coco, as the coco will always be moist so wont get a salt build up?

Would save me hand watering and emptying run off twice a day in flower

how does the top of the coco not dry out and have EC spikes? or the capillary action keeps the whole pot moist?
Yeah just capillary action.
But they do dry a bit at the top and you do get some salts.

I haven't used them in years . Bought them because they are silent but 4mm pipes can block up . Though I hear they've upgraded them since and people use some sort of line cleaner on them too.

Got 3 sets gathering dust

The system i used was a little different, 120x120 or 3x 40x120 trays with a valve and x3/9 pots, but essentially the very same principle.

Using 100% perlite i had good results considering i knew only basic stuff.

Idk how the yeild would compare to dtw but for ease of use it doesn't get much simpler.

Yes, a float valve in each base controls in-flow and refill. It's brilliant, it's all gravity-fed, no timers or electrical anything involved.
gotcha. just one float valve for the main res. seems pretty simple. have you used a similar system and if so with what medium? could you do it with all hydroton or does that not hold enough water?

I believe your a UKer like me. A mate of mine is using a medusa system.
Which looks a bit similar but is dtw or Recirculating.

Worth a look if you want a modular system

Yes i would prefer a drain to waste, i did see a medusa system but didnt look to much into them....

Yes a UKer aswell i am....

Mainly thinking as i have a caravan now and will be away every weekend and dont fancy driving home every day to water and empty trays haha
