So I was able to crack two of these for this roundIMGP0312.JPG IMGP0313.JPG , as well as 2 of the Blue Dream. I'll veg them under a 4" t5ho for a few weeks, then they will finish in a 4'x4' tent with a 600w HPS. I have a semi-permanent scrog screen in the tent, so they will get some amount of LST, but I'm running 9 plants this round so it may get crowded lol!

Edit: I should add the other plants in this round are 3 Mephisto Double Grape, 1 Ripley's OG, and 1 Livers & Cheese :)

These were taken on day 10 from breaking the surface (Tues morning). Also took a pic of the entire cabinet to show what I am growing in.

I struggled to get a decent root system last grow I did, so I started these in a small 1L pot. That way at least I can be sure I am not over watering and can give the roots a glance when I re-pot. Last time the roots wouldn't even have filled a 1L pot, and the plants never seemed to look 'happy'. Results were ok, but I want to improve my newbie growing skills. Trying something slightly different might work, it might not, but at least it is worth a try.

The Brooklyn Sunrise was starting to curl her leaves downwards, so I backed the lights off a bit and they are now horizontal again. Obviously she was trying to hide from the light.

Both varieties seemed to stall for a few days, then have taken off again. I assume they were busy underground. The Brooklyn Sunrise is slightly smaller than the Blue Dream'matic at the moment, but that may all change!

Plants are only a couple of inches high, with very close almost touching nodes. I would much rather them be like this than stretchy plants that will fill my space before they even finish stretching.

Transplanted last night (tues) into a 10L pot - roots were just about hitting the bottom and edges of the pot but not circling, so I think I timed it right. Didn't take any pics in the new pots.

Seeing you guys talk about Barcelona made me really happy - I had one of the best nights of my life in Barcelona in 2016. Flew over for a few days. Had drinks and a nice meal with my wife near the harbour in the late afternoon, we went to the Nou Camp, sat virtually pitch side and saw Barcelona absolutely hammer Celtic 7-0 in the Champions League, then had an ice cream and people watched on the Ramblas after. Pretty simple stuff, but a fantastic experience I will never forget.

Neither will I forget the 7-0 being a Celtic fan!Too good for Scotland & not good enough v the top clubs in the Champions League..I will put up pics later of 2 BS at day 7 & the Blue Dream'matic 1 day old.(I germinated the BDmatic & the shell had popped of before I had planted it.So I just put in the small taproot & gently covered it in soil..I thought it had no chance but after a day it popped up.Its a resilient little thing so I will see how she does).

CLOSED-740x384_Brooklyn-Sunrise_comparative_image.jpg

Hi guys, I have now officially closed the Comparatives.
There was a lot to get through, but we got there in the end, and every one of the Comparative seeds has been used up :)
This does mean though, that there are no replacement seeds left, so hopefully everyone’s package reaches them, as we have no reserves.

Enjoy the Comparative guys :)

not much to show yet, slightly larger containers than i usually use for seedlings. these are usually what i pot up into first, but since i plan to only repot them once, i went for this container to begin with. still waiting for the root building to finish up.
in promix with 20% extra perlite. gave them each 5 ml of 100 ppm jack's 20-20-20, plan on watering twice, feeding once routine.
they're about 8 inches from 300 watts of t5, 200 watts of 6500 and 100 watts of 3500, like that mix, get good growth without too much stretching

as soon as they start doing anything interesting i'll start making separate posts...

Pics taken on day 18. Running 150w of household led bulbs 20/4.
Neither plant seemed to have a problem with transplanting into 10L pots on day 10. Using a different soil than my usual B&Q Verve - last bag I bought was very poor with lumps of wood etc in. I read that Lidl own brand peat based multi purpose compost came top of 'Which' magazine tests of compost, so got a few bags of it for both the garden and my grow. It seems to have a lot less crap in it, and our hanging baskets etc are really taking off much better than last year when we used Verve.
I have been LST'ing like crazy for the last few days and now have several tops. I will let her grow now then may do it again. She is very short but very bushy which is exactly what I need in such a small grow area. Both plants due a water later when I get home, pot is very light.
p.s. Anyone else having problems uploading pics via a mac or iphone? Keep getting about 10% uploaded then an error message. Using a pc works fine.

Mine are starting to put on some growth, some stretching going on due to the setup/timing but not worried ;)

IMGP0356.JPG <These are both the BSA,
and here's the group shot of all 4 from the comp> IMGP0353.JPG , with the BSA on the left :)

And just for fun here's the full family photoIMGP0364.JPG with 3 Double Grape, 1 Livers & Cheese, and 1 Ripley's OG already a month or so along. Should get crowded in a 4x4 tent, but there are worse problems to have haha

IMG_3850 bs.JPG IMG_3851 bs.JPG IMG_3852.JPG Day 24. I ought to take pics after I have watered, not when they are thirsty! Plants on plain water and seaweed extract still, no nutes yet.
There is now a definite smell if you brush the leaves tending the plants.
I have stopped LST now. damage to leaf at front is down to me accidentally putting an lst wire through it.
