As most of you should know, there is a referendum on the State of California ballot this november to legalize marijuana. This referendum is organized by taxcannabis.org. The importance of this ballot measure cannot be overstated. If it were to pass, it will be a milestone and could well be the first domino to knock down on a general legalization of cannabis.
If it fails, it will be a HUGE setback.
So, what I find very, very disturbing is that they have set a very modest goal of reaching 42,000 dollars in donations by 4/20. I think that is very low, but that's not what is disturbing; what is awful is that they are barely reaching that goal.
EVERY SINGLE ONE of you on this bulletin board should make it your duty to go right now to taxcannabis.org and donate SOMETHING. 5$, 10$, whatever. I don't even live in California and I'm about to make my second donation of a $99.
Tell your friends, and make each of them do the same. It's time to mobilize friends. If you guys sit around and let this thing fail by failing to support it, you'll all deserve the stereotype of stoner slackers.
