The Smell

Im one month into flowering and i dunno when i should chop em down i started my 12/12 on 1/22/08.

They dont even have a stink yet wtf is goin on.. there raging but no smell. is there a problem? or is that normal? imma noob 1st grow. help a fellow farmer out.

perfectly normal sometimes they will not smell untill the last couple of weeks.

Little early to be choppin down already and I have not even seen them. I just know that at 4 weeks since switch I know they are no where even close. When did they first start showing their sex? That would be the best range to base harvest time from, not just the switch. Figure 8 to 16 weeks flowering time from the time the started budding, strain dependent. Some take longer than others.

i noticed pistols about 1-3 weeks before i started my 12/12.

you know those 2 pistols that first sprout by the first few nodes?

then i read once they show sex there ready for flowering stage cause they pretty much are flower at that point.. and as of strain there name less, one strain is from a friend the other if from 3 years ago i got 3 elbows of this dank shit but had seeds all in it so i said screw it i want them for future use... an there my 1st time farming seeds.. safer with these then with $10 per seed strain from online

I bet you have about another 4 to 6 weeks, but thats a big guess without seeing them.

As time get closer to harvest the smell will come too... I've had some that never even smelled untill I chopped em down then they stank up my entire house.... It really just depends on the strain on smell and flowering time..
