The Slow Outdoor Grow

Hi RIU friends. I wanted to share with you the slowest damn grow I have ever experienced. For the past few years, since we have a nice privacy fence and I only grow a couple of plants, this year three turned out to be female, I try my hand once again at doing an outdoor grow. My region--I'm in the Northeastern part of the country, so our summers are short but we have been having some long and lovely fall like weather that I am counting on because these girls are growing slow and puny. I'm praying like heck that the weather shapes up and we have some sun soon because it has been sooooo overcast and rainy, but they have been responding to all the rain, believe it or not. So here is what I have to share:

So, if any one of you kind people who are much more literate than I am when it comes to strains can help me out: I'm curious about these plants. I was on this site learning about indica and sativa strains and from what I have read I think these are sativa, which are supposed to grow tall, but these are kind of stunted, I'm thinking from lack of sunlight--which, as I was saying we haven't had much lately around here--Irene, perhaps?? Anyway, from what you all can tell, and I put my little hand in there so you can get an idea just how puny my bud production is so far, what are these plants and do you think I will have a harvest before the frost flies?

Forgive this being sooo long but, well, I wanted you all to get the full scope, and I have to tell you that this forum has become one of the coolest places for me to hang out. I spend a lot of time here. I think you all are wonderful helping out your fellow growers with their questions, but I have learned a lot just reading. I know some of you often complain that we who ask "dumb" questions and really need to do some research on our own. I did, but still am confused. I deliberately took a pic of the two together. The one on the right has these like floppy ear-like fan leaves and that plant makes me laugh because even though it came out of the same bag of seeds, it looks different from it's girlfriend growing next her on the left. Which brings me to my next point--these plants are from bag seed--have no idea of strain but would like to determine indica or sativa, which I'm hoping one of you experts could clue me in on and from the looks of things if I'm going to have bud before the snow flies. Lastly, I have tried without success to grow seeds from Attitude. Back in April and again in May I purchased well over $100 worth of seeds and they all went straight to shit. I was so bummed. I germed them, put them into the ground and nothing! not even a peep of a leaf, so I don't know if it's me or them, so that's when I went to the ol bag seed standby, but then was late getting the seeds into the ground (first of June) because I was hoping and praying messing with those Attitude seeds.

Well, anyway, forgive this very long post and I would, as you well know, appreciate any feedback--thank you guys and gals from this forum I think you are all great, helpful and very kind to help out folks like me with our questions.
WILLS

Looks good, I would just make sure they get enough light, aren't getting eatin up by bugs, and catch any disease before it starts. Loose yet rich soil is a must, and nutes aren't a big deal if your soil is good and the hole is big enough. But most important for you and everyone else up north is picking the right strain. This is the first strain for me that has finished with plenty of time. http://www.sanniesshop.com/heribei-en.html I might try a new strain if someone can guarantee they'll finish. Good luck to all who grow. Keep pluggin along and it will come.

Hi Tennis--thanks for your input--I know the light!! Gosh we need sunlight. It has been overcast for days here in my neck of the woods, but hopefully when that sun shines bright these littlte girls will perk up. I'm thinking since the growth has been slow this season I just might make a decent harvest if we have a sun filled September--I'm on my knees praying for a sunny September--so far it hasn't helped :)
