so ive been thinking, plants that dont have the genetics to turn purple might be able to be coaxed into color change by a controlled environment (indoor) of course. but i also came up with this possibly insane idea called the purple sugar theory
and even if it didnt work on a plant without purple genitics using the theory on a plant that does might even increase color change but any way in my theory i incorprate uvb bulbs which increases trichome output to deflect the penetrating rays hence the "sugar" lol but here is the light cycle for the theory
vegetative/16:8 (high temp growth) 80 degrees-day Roomtemp-night. Flowering/12:12 (low temp growth) Roomtemp-day 55 degrees-night.
To increase vegetative day tempreture add "uvb" light bulbs to accomodate the cfl bulbs. there will be more uvb bulbs than cfl to increase trichome output
record tempreture with added uvb bulbs turned on, maintain tempreture throught vegetative day period.
maintain room temperature durring vegetative night periods.
ok its gonna be pretty easy lowering the temperature during the flowering night period just by
adding a portable or mini a/c unit, so set temperature in the low 50's durring flowering night periods. maintain room temperature durring flowering day periods.
durring the begining stages of flowering & trichome production in the mature plant, for increased trichome production switch most! of the lighting to "uvb" lightbulbs the cfls will be used solely for lumens lets say for every cfl, add 2 uvb bulbs. and thats it folks tell me your thoughts on the theory. and if you try it gimmie feed back! peace
