Even his fellow one-percenters, the people with real money and power, didn't like what Joe was doing in extorting money from the Ukrainian government and the energy company. This is going to get much bigger.
Last month, The Washington Post revealed another State Department official’s attempt to get Biden staffers to intervene with their boss. The Post reported that George Kent, then a deputy assistant secretary of state, 'raised concerns [with Biden aides] in early 2010' may be illegal, and is at least bad optics."

For now, Biden’s opponents in the presidential campaign appear to all hope that somebody else will make the argument, while congressional Democrats don’t want to do anything to undermine their impeachment probe. And so Biden skates. The Intercept, 10/9/19
So, yes, the Repubs are just as dirty as the Dems. Nepotism exists in DC. It truly IS the swamp.
But, hey, if I was rich and powerful I would install my wife as the Czar of Knitting Regulation. And, only criminals would have knitting needles - and they'd be heavily taxed and regulated.
Its not so much that Democrats are dirty ... hell, we all are.
It IS that they are trying to act all holey and above everybody else.
