The one that got away

Hey everyone. I'm 35 days into flower. I didnt notice until a week ago that this branch didnt make it with the others and is pretty flimsy. Its completely covered and isnt going to grow anything. Would chopping a branch off of this size cause too much stress or would it be beneficial by redirecting hormones to the other branches. Idk why I didn't address this a week ago. Thanks

I save all my fluff and unders to use for hash, in my set up I get more yield if I leave the bottoms on, yes it is larfy under there but makes great hash doesn't take away yield of good dense buds
I'll have plenty of popcorn buds as I have a pretty thick canopy. I'd like to trim it off but worried its to large of a branch. I feel like it has to be using a noticeable amount of energy. Just thinking.

Bump. Anyone else with any opinions. I'd like to get rid of some of these branches that didnt reach the top and or are being covered up. I read somewhere that you shouldnt trim off any branches larger than an 1/8 inch thick or more, when in flower. I'm messing around in my room right now, would be awesome for suggestions, personal experiences doing it

Ya I cut them off. That’s a big plant. not gonna miss a few scrabblers. I have a coco plant now in flower that was chopped to half it’s size right at flip. Seams ok at 22 days.

I wonder if its cut if it will start dripping...maybe cover over the cut will help...like they do on tree limbs.
Just something I noticed when I cut my plants down...they have 'water' coming out for a few days after at the cut points.
Or maybe just snap it first like a super crop...then cut it off after a few days.

Thanks. That was the answer I was hoping for. If I dont chop off the branch today, then I'm just going to let it be. And I've heard of some people topping their plants right before flower. Im glad it worked out ok for you, but you dont think it affected your yield or anything topping that close to flower? Thanks for the reply
*edit* yea this plant was my mother plant so it was vegged for a while, hence the largeness ha

The plant was just too big,no space for her so I chopped it in half. You would never notice it now.Its almost too big again lol.

ha for sure. that sounds like a less than ideal situation ha. I've ran into that problem several times, but I always just would take cuttings from the over sized plant and then throw it in the compost. i might try topping the shit out of a plant the next time i run into that issue.
