The 'humanitarian crisis' in Venezuela... or not

Amazing how the West looted Venezuelan assets, then blamed them for the resulting economic crisis.

When is the last time a United States led 'humanitarian intervention' actually led to the alleviation of suffering? Especially when oil is involved?

Why does anyone believe the likes of Donald Chump, Tom Bolton, Elliott Abrams about anything, let alone a sham as transparent as the Venezuelan destabilization affair?

Amnesty International is a reputable source of information, tty. Do I need to re-post links to their reports?

Sending food and medical aid as well as closing our ports to Venezuelan oil are appropriate actions.

The US doesn't need to destabilize Venezuela. That was begun by Chavez's bungling their currency and Maduro's brutal regime is giving the people of Venezuela no choice but to take up arms if he does not step down.

One good to come from this how it reveals Sanders' bias towards authoritarianism and ambivalence towards majority rule. .

Didn't take you long to jump in and shout your ignorance, did it?

Amazing how willing you are to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Trump administration.

Maduro sucks.

Steals elections, in bed with Russians, lies like a rug, kills his own people.

All he has to do now is fuck a porn star.

I'm shocked Trump doesn't like him.

He'd suck his dick if he had nukes.

I just looked up who and what the empire files is.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abby_Martin

Abby Martin took over the job of hosting it from the Venezuelan government. She was formerly a host on a program that ran on RT America.

Empire files is a propaganda dissemination outlet controlled by authoritarian dictators. Anything coming from that site is bullshit.

Lol

Most Americans have given up caring about the truth, believing their own opinions actually carry any authority at all. This forum is drowning in that attitude. It's a sign of a terminal loss of legitimacy and credibility.
I'll just trust Amnesty International. You go ahead and listen to Empire News.

LOL

It's difficult to trust rhetoric like 'human rights industry'.

The whole world is one big conspiracy.

Thanks internet.
Media Bias/Fact Check (MBFC News) says Empire News doesn't even portray itself as a news source. They put it in the same category as The Onion.

LOL, @ttystikk has been completely taken in and posted satire as if it were fact.

At this point, Tty will post anything to try to restore his shattered reputation.

So the Carter Foundation lied about the Venezuelan elections are free and fair.

The UN investigator lied when he said there isn't a humanitarian disaster in Venezuela.

Pulitzer prize winning journalists don't know what they're talking about.

Your position is in lockstep with the Trump proto fascist regime- a regime- you say you don't support.

You ignore the documented evidence of western theft of Venezuelan income, denial of their purchases and medical supplies and other sanctions over the last several years- and then blame the Venezuelan government for these very activities.

We've all seen the wreckage of American interventionism around the world over the last half century and more, yet this time Venezuela will be the exception.

Holy fvck, you've even got Tom Bolton gleefully making plans to give their oil to American oil companies on camera.

But you say that I'm the deluded one.

Okay!

5 years and China will have the Yahtzee.

Exxon/Chevron just needs the ability to sell it's share of the Venezuelan Oil fields on the open market. (because oil will never increase in value:wall:)

All above board of course. Halliburton wouldn't have it any other way.

And finally, the single most obvious lie; the notion that the United States has any right whatsoever to interfere in the government and affairs of Venezuela.

This is as clear as day, yet you clowns think that somehow those who stand to profit obscenely from the hostile takeover of a sovereign nation with a freely elected government have the moral high ground.

What an arrogant bunch of Trump suckers you are, never mind stupid.

That reporter wasn't interested in the truth; he obviously just wanted to write a hit piece.

And he was released, unharmed, all but immediately.

The 'free country' of America would be holding him for weeks or months, in direct violation of literally dozens of treaties we've signed and ratified.

America has no credibility left on the world stage other than as a bully and it's morons like those posting here in support of yet another illegal intervention that will seal our fate.

The reporter was taking cell phone pics of hungry people eating out of garbage cans.

He and his crew were detained for hours.

You don't like American income disparity but it's a 'hit piece' when photographing people eating out of garbage cans in Venezuela?

Maduro is a greedy pig. Like the American greedy pigs you protest against.
