Hello all

Unfortunately the advertiser running this competition chose to cancel their rollitup advertising

I don’t have much more information at this time but have spoken with the owner in allowing the competition to be completed by you the users . Normally we remove all advertising threads after advertising cancelation since they are no longer paying

Since Riu is not a retail store and just a forum we cannot provide the prizes promised so it’ll be on bragging rights only

We’re so Sorry for any inconvenience however hope this is a happy medium for those doing all the hard work growing .

braggin rights it is..! I am still using my kil-a-watt meter, and gonna be logging my grow anyways. I will be using my small chamber I built during this competition and recording all wattage used for lights + fans from the day I turned them on. I will be adding lights turning them on as I go to reduce use of energy!
I just transplanted the 4 east coast stardawg seeds and started more seeds, added more lights and using fluoro's now instead of just LED to help a little with some much needed heat!

ecsdawgs from greenpoint getting bigger now after a topping. First attempt at 4 main top colas seems to be doing good. Felt bad cutting the big tops off but hopefully down the road it will improve yield over time and help with crop management. I usually grow them tall and bend them over , then flip. I found the branches that end up underneath the plant suffer. After this attempt I might try a scrog or something it just takes so damn long!

so far the kil-a-watt is at about 28$ since i've gone from my tiny chamber into my 5x5 tent. Not too bad around 10$ a week or so, and soon the growth will hopefully start exploding. Thinking about doing a very small dose of fish mix for them to help diversify the soil, only thing i've added is root juice and bio-heaven.

someday I will venture into true organics but my method right now seems to be working o.k. I need my own house to be able to start mixing soils and brewing teas

I don't see why not mars!
It is an open thread now. As sunni said, nothing is paid for here, so no gifts or prizes are allowed

perhaps since its been since like 2010 when RIU actually hosted its own type of give away or competition , who knows maybe someone will end up letting some people throw in some prizes to make it more competitive.

For now-- No prizes. Just a fun competition. At least if we could all agree on a way to measure gram per watt we can have a foundation on this type of competition.

I agree with the kil-a-watt meter but there is a stipulation here I think when it comes to clones and seeds.

I'm gonna just keep posting random updates here and I believe everyone is welcome to do the same. Try to keep track of the amount of power used and the final end weight.

I also think there is a stipulation on quality. if growing a low yielding strain high potency vs high yielding regular potency. Is this just about numbers or what?
