The fastest way to get Kief - $100 Kief Machine!

Say hello to the custom built Multi-Micron Sugar Sifter.
Keep in mind for this example, I used about 6 oz of material that has already gone through a round of dry ice extraction.
The super sifter is an awesome way to save every last bit of kief from already ran material, or to sift the great from the good.

One of my fun and easy DIY projects.
Sift multiple microns faster than you can hand sift one.

Metal Tumbler - $60
Diesel Filters - $30
Bungee Cords - $ 5
5 Gal Bucket - $ 3
5 Gallon Lid - $ 2

Producing shit tons of kief without hours of shaking, $100. lol

Okay... Now, I see why it's green. You're using 600 microns to strain the "kief"

The Biggest micron you should be using is 200... That's the Biggest Cannabinoid in Weed. Anything bigger and you're wasting time and money... Another Thing,(And I hate to break this to you)That "Shit Tons Of Kief" is only worth the Last TWO buckets you used, everything else was plant matter... The last two buckets didn't have much.

I looked at EZ's Strainers... Those dudes have 75 microns as the Smallest... And 600/800? microns as the biggest... These Strainers are not meant for Weed.... Sorry

pretty sure its "rainbow road" not "rainbow ride" ;) love the nintendo/mario references... gotta be one of my all time fav things and always will be.
Funny... I turned On Mario Kart As I was Reading This... You're Right!! I gotta Stop Smoking...

Rainbow Ride WAS Super Mario!! NOT.... Mario Kart lol +Rep For The Stoner Moment :D

Good idea, with a few tweaks!

Everything above around 150 microns, or so, is leaf material, so at best the larger sieves just relieved the load on the smaller sieve meshes.

Homer buckets are not food grade, which are available and probably a better choice.

I also claim bragging rights for the Grinning Reaper, as being the fastest sifter alive. It sifts about 10% prime kif in 3 to 5 minutes.

90% of that was Green.... I Dont Use Hate, I Only Use Facts...
Did you watch the whole video before using your facts? lol. There were many different microns of hash sifted at once.

The 600-400 was green, the 400-200 was green, but I compared the 200-100 against 120 micron dry ice ran kief in the video and it is comparable in color, definitely not green.
The 100-75 micron stuff was extremely golden even though it didnt yield a bunch.

Again I don't know if you saw the whole video, but ALL this kief was yielded in this demonstration was from used cannabis that was already ran as CO2 hash. So essentially I got all of the great stuff off the cannabis before it even went into this sifting machine. This machine saved all of the remaining kief that was not extracted previously with dry ice run

If I ran the machine with material that was NOT previously ran with dry ice (which is the way most people would likely use it) the kief quality would be much higher (pun intended).

How do you claim 200 through 75 micron filters are not cannabis worthy when bubble bags are 220 through 25 micron?
I understand that these filters were not made specifically for cannabis, but 75 micron is 75 micron no matter what.

Thats cool machine and I have seen it before, but I would personally prefer to sift out multiple different hashes simultaneously than only have one micron option. I use 600-75 strainers also to relieve the load of junk off of the smaller micron filters.

Food grade buckets aren't the biggest concern for me because I surgically clean the buckets every time right before use.

As far as saying your machine is the fastest alive, it may have been but not anymore since this only took 5 minutes (: They are very similar in function and speed, besides the option of interchanging whatever size micron filters you wish with ease out of this baby.

I picked mine up at the local harbor freight, they are kept in stock.

Hee, hee, hee, I see a shootout on the horizon!

For sure you can process more material as a function of size, but I'm betting I have more horizontal shear force breaking off trichomes, so an up size would eliminate that difference.

Good idea either way! I already have an vibratory ammo cleaner, so I'll pick up some diesel filters and check it out! Clearly it is an easier DIY solution for most folks, than welding up a Grim Reaper!

the 75 works great for straining when doing some extractions.. this.. not so much.

Lemme get this straight, I can run dry ice kief using diesel filters as a cost-effective substitute for expensive bubble bags?.

If that's the case, where do I buy?

Yeah actually, they stopped selling vaporizers... Because they said it was "too inappropriate" hahahah I guess people were using them for the wrong reason? They have been pissing me off lately lol

You call that kief, kief is supposed to be trichomes in the US. I would love to see the % of it in your green mess.
The quality of your sieve material is quite important when you are sieving wouldn't you say. I mean think about it a minute.
Knowing the size of mature/ripe trichomes is also a must if you want to sieve trichomes. It is by the way in the range of 70 to 120 microns.
The color is never green and when press it should become a mass of resin.
Also please if you use plastic go for food grade.

If this is the case, then what micron size works best for a first run with dry ice?. I have a 110 here, which must be wrong b/c it hasn't worked very well in the past.

I do not work with dry ice or recommend doing it, quite the opposite but anyway the size of your screen is the same doesn't matter the technique.
160 microns as a catch bag.
73 and 45 microns for the trichomes collection

The material used in the video was ran with dry ice and a 120 bag. When agitating I make sure to only move the bucket laterally, not vertically. Its also important that your ice isn't banging up against the side of the bucket.

To avoid the loss of kief I suggest shaking your bucket into another bucket. This way none of the kief falls off of your shaking surface.

The remaining cannabis after this extraction is what was used for the kief machine demo video.
