Alright I am being patient but I was wondering when buds actually start to produce THC. Im 3 weeks into flowering now and I was wondering if I can take a lil piece of a bud and quick dry it out jusyt to smoke it and see what happens...will there be a THC content or whats the deal on this. I am patient but was just a lil curious as to see what it will do.

At best you will get a dirty taste at worst you will get a dirty taste and a headache. If you feel anything off smoking it, its probably because of the nutrients at this early stage. Even if you quick dry it at 7 weeks you wont really get much out of it

Its up to you

Although I know it is best to let it all go the way and finish, I disagree strongly with the notion that you don't get anything out of smoking it early. I have smoked small immature buds that only appeared after the whole plant had been flowering for at least 5-6 weeks. So the small ones were at best a week or two old when I smoked em. I pulled them because they were the bottom ones and I wanted more air down there. I wasn't gonna toss them. They didn't taste bad or even give me a headache. They actually got me pretty ripped! Your quote about the bud at 7 weeks when quick dried actually makes me laugh. You probably have never even tried 7 week quick dried bud! Now I do agree, like I said, that you should always let it finish. I just think you shouldn't tell someone something that is not always true. Just tell them it is your opinion.

I agree.. Ive been picking some small NL buds off my first grow (probably around week 5). Bud was a little harsh, but the high was great and no headache.

I recommend trying some just to experience it. Just dont butcher your plant.

pull a few buds from the middle, the lowers really aint worth it and you want the tops to grow.
Once you pull a few buds, might as well quick dry in the ol microwave.
Just rap in a paper towl and check on it every 10-15 secs, careful
It will start on fire.

I have to agree with nongreenthumb...

Ive tried it and gotten a nasty headache and this was about 5 weeks into flower.

Seriously its not worth it, even if you do get a little high off of some little airy bud why not wait until that little bud weighs 5 times as much and gets you completely stoned

:peace:

i put mine in the oven at about 175 for 30 mins. Flipping the bud after 15 mins. (Depending on size of bud)

you guys are getting headaches because your drying in ovens and microwaves and who knows what else. every early bud ive smoked was dried and cured properly first and no headaches for me and the taste wasn't its full potential but it wasn't bad.

I just tried some 5.5 week old bagseed, h.Kush and bbXNL and it was quite an eyeopener as to what a piece of shit the bagseed was. However the h.kush and the bbxnl was actually nice after you got over the grassy taste, it got me high like weed I buy actually.I say go for it.

I dried and cured it normally...I had to cut the girl at about 5 weeks for a few very good reasons. It still tasted like shit and gave me a headache....I have 3 ounces of the stuff and I wont even smoke it. It does get you a little high but its a very gross and very short high with a nice headache....:spew:
