Ok...so, sorry for posting another light thread. this is my 1st post, 1st grow, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have currently 2 children growing.
4th week of veg.
Started w/ MG potting soil, use MG tom food, now just str8 water.
havent chekd my PH

A. my setup for veg is 4-4' floro tubes (the thin 1s,think T5, not sure) 32w each, 2- 5000k, 2-4100k.(i also have 2-3000k which i can substitute..

1) Q: are the 2 5.0ks/2 4.0ks sufficient. 2'hx16"dx5'w(i can raise another 2')

2) Q: If its over 60 n sunny i put them on the deck until 4pm, then bring them in under lights till 2am(off). back outside or lights on round 9am..is this a problem.?

B) i also just set up my flowr box. 30"wx18"dx3'h.
i have 1-100w hps
and a 23w=100w cfl spiral.
intake/exhaust

i also have 1-400w hps which im not prepared 2 use yet. i want 2 see if i can actually do this b4 i start runnen up my bill like crazy.

Summarization: sorry for the long post just wanted 2 give all my info, keeping in mind that im trying 2 save on energy, hence why im using outside, what shud i switch up? is my kelvin enuf? will the 100w do the trick or shud i flower under tubes?

Better to flower under all your lights if you can. You need more light during flower then in veg. 3000 lum vs. 5000 per sq ft i believe but may be wrong but i am positive its more during flower. The 4th photo plant looks a bit over watered but i might be wrong. If you can get bigger hps. 100w wont penetrate that deep. Or you can do some LST. I have a source for pretty cheap HPS setups. Like 125.90 for 400w with ballast and bulb jus have to do minor modifications that i can wlak you thu. all you neey is drill, cord, and eletrical tape. PM if you want site.

You could easy get another 2plants under that lighting has long has you can fit big pots in the bigger the pot the bigger the yeiled.by adding another 2 plants wouls this mean that you would be growing in small pots if so stick to two plants with bigger pots and get them lights has cloce has possible with a fan blowing air across each set of plants.

i believe you said you wanted to put out side from 9-4 thats 7 hours so youd only need to have under your hps for 5 hrs. i know you tring to save money but get bigger hps. you wont have to run it that long everything permiting and youll see a differance. i promise.

also man get your self some nutes. it looks like you got some yellow coming in. i suppose you could use MG make suree since you going into flowering its got a some nitrogen fist number and a high middle number. should help green them up. fert every other watering if they take it. I use only Fox Farm so I dont really know about mg

i have a 400w hps..im scared 2 use it tho..lol..1st time ya know..scared 2 see my electrical bill..
parts list..
1. 2 -4' 5000k 32w tubes
2. 2 -4' 3000k 32w tubes
3. 2 -4' 4100k 32w tubes
(i can only use 4 tubes at once)
4. 1-100w/hps(dont know the Ks)
5. 1-400w/hps (which im too scared 2 use./lol)(dont know the Ks)
6. 1-23w=100w spiral 2700k

black chair looks over watered about kelvins ill look it up give me second i jus know yellower light for flowering while bluer for veg but if i had your lights id use all of them during flower. more the merrier. trust me i started with a 150w hps my first grow and im up to 1000w hps in total now and i want more it makes huge differance. the amount of light,

lol read parts list use that 400w for like the time you are doing it might MIGHT raise it 40 dollars bad month my lights and ac and toaster oven which is basically all i use to cook im paying 140ish a month im looking up kelvins 1 sec

so use your 3000k but im telling you man use your 400w but you know what dont actually cuz youll never know differance if you dont try with floros first. then second grow do 400w. youll get hooked

yeah if you get an old electric bill and find the kiilowatt cost like lets say 18 cents a kw so your 400 is running lets say 12hrs a day for 90 days thats 12x 90 which is 1080 hrs in 3 months long term flower here. then it takes 2.5 hrs with 400w to make 1000w we divide 1080 by 2.5 and get 432 and multply that by your price per kw hr which we guessed at .18 which is 77.76 which we then divide by 3 to find out how much per 30 day period which is 25.92
