The dangers of dirt

Just something to be mindful of as we all dig in the dirt , day after day. I made this post not to disturb or freak anyone out but to keep everyone mindful of the dangers lurking in soil. I consider myself pretty hygienic, usually showering twice a day.

Well, after scratching an itch on my leg , thinking nothing of it. The next day, ringworm...wth
Havent had that shit since i was a kid! All i can surmise is that i was touching my plants and soil and itched myself.
All i just wanted to say was, Be Careful touching your plants then touching yourself.
I wash my hands after every time i handle my plants so i was shocked this happened on my leg.
Be safe y'all, be mindful

Ringworm is a fungus not actually a worm. They need a antifungal to get rid of it.
Yep we got a cream from the Doc and I got to reading on it after the second time and we discovered DR schols works better and my daughter dude she likes it better dries quick Dad... Lol

Oh no I knew you weren't bs'ing. Just making sure they take care of it correctly.
Yeah i got an anti-fungal cream on it. Pretty sure my cat didnt scratch me on my inner thigh tho. Reallly thinking its my dirt mixture. The top layer of dirt had some white mold spots early on before i got my air circulation optimal.

Trim your nails too ppl lol

Most likely what you're seeing on you soil is mycelium. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mycelium

Once I was out in the Arizona desert and got caught in a wind storm......the wind kicked up some sort of fungus. My neck had this crazy rash that was ichy as all hell and didn't tan....it was like bleached spots. Pretty fucked up.

I seriously doubt it came from the soil.
