The Blind and Psychedelics

I was thinking today about closed eye visuals on LSD or DMT and how it's one of the finer qualities of the psychedelic. We "see" these patterns and visions with eyes closed. But what about people who are born blind and have no concept of color or visual pattern? Do they still see the pattern? and if so, they'd have no way to relate it to someone's perception of color because they've never seen color.

Obviously there would be auditory and sensory distortion and augmentation, but i wanna know what a blind person "sees."

i thought of this at an early age..my first girlfriend was deaf and i wondered why she wanted music..she said she could "feel it" like we "heard it"...i wondered if she would "hear" distortions if she scrambled he noggin with lucy..im sure its happened...

don't mean to sound like a richard, (man you can slip that in everywhere, lol.) in howard stern's movie, he had this female listener, straddle the woofer of a floor-speaker, and she like volcanoed/came, on the air from the vibration of the woofer. for some reason, this thread reminded me of that, lol..... carry on.

Thanks rory, I figured they could see color or light because even in pitch black the visualizations are there and are not like objects you see with your actual eyes. it's something the brain creates or perceives from somewhere else

my other quandry was what if you got spun and set in the opposite of a sensory deprivation tank..like a room with just whit walls..no other color in the room but your skin..or just a yellow room,ect...what would you see then...?

cut a ping pong ball in half and then put each half over each eye. Be in a uniformly lit room preferably in a witch's chair. complete white out.

pretty much looked at life the same afterward, except I knew there was intense pleasure in it

I hate that about opiates, my nose always itches. Luckily those drugs make vomit until it's all out of my system, so I could never get addicted.
Which besides from the fact that you can get super high, opiates can't be compared to psychedelics as far as the ability to shift perspective. I can understand the allure but i've seen too many bright people become lying, thieving nod-squad pillbillies and it sucks to go kick it and smoke blunts with your friend and they can't even roll a blunt or stay awake for more than 5 seconds

lol, just bcuz you puke from a drug doesn't mean you can't get addicted to it, trust me on that one..
the first time i did heroin there was a trail of puke from my friends front door all the way across the street to where my car was parked..
the second time i did heroin, same thing, only the trail was a bit smaller this time..
the third time i did heroin, the trail got smaller yet..
after about the 50th x i did dope i stopped puking my guts up eventually, and it was all down hill from there.. once in awhile i'd get a bag that'd make me puke non stop though, even years later..
