The age old question

Hey everyone just joined the site and I’m finally ready to get a little something something started for myself. Just wanted some input on the best, most kick ass set up I should go with. Wanted to stay smallish somewhere in the 3x3 or 2.5x2.5 area and definitely want to use led. There’s just too many to look at and I need to be pointed in a good direction. Also pics are always welcome. I’d love to see some solid proof. Anyways thanks for reading and someone please help lol

I have an 2'x2.5' and wound up with 200g plus some larf n trim last go. 180w of led.
If i were to do anything different, i would have bought a cheaper tent, and spent the extra on better lights

Thanks. What would you have gone with in that space since were somewhat using a similar area.

I’d second the HLG route. I run an HLG 100v2 in my 2x2 box I built, got 3-4 oz my first ever grow. Buying a bigger one off alibaba today actually for a 4x4 I’m starting. Spend the most on lighting, to me it’s the most important single aspect to a grow room.
Yeah there’s a lot of other stuff to keep in mind but if you start with crap light you’re not gonna get anything accomplished.

I run I power 300 watt led x2 daisy chained they crush my 4x4x6. I also have 3 other 600s those are kindled. My I powers have done far better and are far cheaper on the budget.

If ya want good weed and more than a few oz you've got be prepared put the cash in. The way I see it is the money you would pay for for a few oz will easily get you a good light tent and filter and fans. Even if you do over spend on first grow 2nd grow is all profit except electric and a bit of nutrients. People who expect good yields off no spend make me laugh. You get what you put in. Speculate to accumulate. Good luck hope you make the right choices

Best of luck SC if ya got money to burn buy it up. If your on a budget or are starting out green without much indoor growing under your belt start small. Your yields and quality will come from genetics and experience not just a light. Happy growing

Cool now your started. Get all setup and do a dry test run for a day or 2 to see if ya need to change anything before you pop seeds. Always better to be 100% ready

Anyone know any strains that are mainly just the main cola? Like no side branching or very few side branches?

Spider farmer had a nice powerful led grow light on a good budget. Research them on led grow lights Depot page on YouTube.

Those types of strains are less common in this era. But if you want main colas, don't train the plant. Grow many of them in a dense style, untrained. It's called sea of green style. You'll have only a bunch of main colas. Also cut off any side branching.

Anyone seen these?
Maybe this in a 2x4? Or 2 of the 150’s in a 3x3?
That light will do just fine for a 2X4 tent. You have enough room for 2 plants, if you keep them on the small side. Just don't wait too long to flip them to flower, or you could grow autos, as those stay small enough for that footprint most of the time.

Good luck, and ask questions!
