"You are FOR big gov't"... ooh, such a loaded phrase....Those are pretty funny. You are FOR big govt. I see.
There is only one size of gov't and that is big. Gov't is big. We have a huge and complex nation that we live in. Fixing the amount of gov't does not mean it will improve one way or another. So size withstanding... I would like to see an improved gov't. A gov't that represents the people. A gov't which works with a demand-side economic philosophy. A gov't which does not discriminate against sexual orientation, gender, (non)/belief systems, race, creed, or age. A gov't that stays out of our bedroom, women's wombs and drug choices. A gov't that guarantees all citizens the rights to education, healthcare and childcare. A gov't that does not bomb brown skinned nations for their resources. A gov't which is truly representative of the people, not just the elite.
The US gov't is big and it needs to be big to do the job. I would like to see its mandates be carried out in a different fashion.

Any libertarian worth their salt will tell you it is a travesty what has happened to their political philosophy...the co-opting of it by the fiscal and social conservatives has been horrific... your scorn for the cartoon strip speaks volumes...
I miss the Libertarian Socialists...they were much more interesting and had more productive ideas to put forward...

these were a few of buddhadawg's utterances i thought you might agree with rather than call him clueless in response....unless i missed some amount of sarcasm or tongue in cheekness again....i have been doing that a lot lately

Our govt. is already way too big. I would much rather see it streamlined and run more efficiently. Hell there's a lot I'd like to change but doubtful that's gonna happen so it's pretty much pie in the sky at this point.
Yeah we should definitely have the right to childcare, I am getting tired of paying for food my kids eat, or getting them school supplies or teaching them the value of hard work or how to play nicely with others I really think someone else should do those things for me so I can spend the money on myself.

It doesn't really matter. He's saying cartoonish stereotypes are the way Modern Liberals understand things.
Concepts must be broken down into manageable and oversimplified propaganda they can digest.
