Hey friends,
Just wanted to share a little edible experience that lowkey reminded me why I respect infused treats just a bit more than vapes or flower sometimes.
Product: 50mg THC chocolate chip cookie (homemade-style, not dispensary branded)
Setting: Late evening, no plans, cozy lights, headphones in, lo-fi beats rolling. Took it about 30 minutes after dinner, just to make sure I wasn’t flying on an empty stomach.
Timeline:
Takeaways:
If you’re the type who loves a controlled float through your own mind, this kind of high is hard to beat. Just don’t expect to do taxes on it. Or talk to anyone. Or remember where you put your phone.
Who else out here still loves edibles more than carts or flower?

Setting: Late evening, no plans, cozy lights, headphones in, lo-fi beats rolling. Took it about 30 minutes after dinner, just to make sure I wasn’t flying on an empty stomach.
Timeline:
- T+45 min: Mild body warmth creeping in. Eyes start to feel heavier, but thoughts still clear. Kinda like walking into a soft fog.
- T+1 hr 15 min: Hit that oh wow I’m actually high moment. Deep mental dive, random nostalgia popping in, time started stretching. Legs fully sunk into the couch.
- T+2 hr: Peak. Not overwhelming, but definitely not functional either. Zoned out watching ambient nature videos, couldn’t stop smiling. This is what I call “non-verbal happy mode.”
- T+3 hr: Slowly coasted down. No crash, just a gentle slide into sleepiness. Slept like a rock, woke up feeling like I’d been hugged by a cloud all night.
Takeaways:
- Edibles hit different. That creeping climb followed by a blanket of stillness is unmatched.
- Set & setting is everything. This would’ve felt way too strong if I had stuff to do or people to deal with.
- 50mg is not beginner territory. Even for me, it was “okay let’s respect this cookie” level.
