After reading many of the posts in the vert section, I decided to go the vert route.

Thank you guys for all your input/sharing.

Strains are g13 X blueberry headband (3 screens on the left) and critical (right screen).
18 days into flower now
All grown in organic soil

looking very nice, is this your first round this way? really like the trellis buckets. nice to be able to move and turn a plant to train, trim and care for. what wattage lights are you running?
 
It is, many grows, but first vert.
The trellis is real easy to work with, and fully adjustable with different heights.
The lights are my weak point, 400w and 250w.
 
yeah, a single 600 would be more efficient. the lower watt hps produce fewer lumes per watt for sure. if there's enough air flow to keep temps good i would loose the glass. a fan set on low directly under the lights will move hot air straight up almost the same as having them in the tube, but without the lose of light you get from glass.

Would love a 600w, but funds are low. Soon though.
I tried without the glass, and fan underneath. The blueberry headband didn't like the added heat or fan. They're a little sensitive to environment.
