Appreciate all the help i received in the past weekish from so many people, i've finally got my build done, its nothing special and could probably do with some changes, but im proud to go from knowing nothing about wiring and electronics to building this, much love!

Well done. Welcome down the rabbit hole of endless upgrades lol.

One thing. Where you have put the wire through the metal sheet have you got a rubber grommet or a bit of silicone in there for protection?

I went to the hardware store to grab some grommets today but they had none, was thinking of putting some silicon in it tho

none in it atm tho

At what wattage are you running it, and what size space is it lighting?

40w, its for a 1x3 fits perfectly, for a clone, starter section
