Can anybody give me a good soil to use starting a new
grow and im lookin for something new i was thnking mg
organic

i herd 707 soil is really good they have it at the hydro store for like 25 a bag its a pretty good size bag tho it comes with 3 cubic feet

OK so I use MG organic grow last time and I actually through away my plants after 2 weeks because they were only 2" tall!!! I have read that MG burns the little ones. But I have also heard people that did great grows... I would say use Fox Farm brand either Oceanic Forest or Warrior.....they will grow hella fast until you need to give them nutes

I use hyponex pro potting soil with 25% mg perlite..

My grandma uses mg organic mix and puts sand and other stuff in it.. but shes a pro, and I cant keep up with her..

happy frog is good of your trying to be cheap but the 707 is better i thing as soon as i put my plants in it they took off

I've used it 3 times and have never had any pest problems.

MG soil retains water like a spounge and has time-released nitrogen that can be too strong for young seedlings. I reccommend FoxFarm OceanForest soil, its 100% organic and has everything you need to start seeds and young plants. You can find it at most hydro shops and online for around $15.

I've seen pre-sterilized bags of potting soil come with bugs and mold in it.

Did you think to factor in where stores keep their soils?If the business stores their soil outdoors or even worse,stacked up on a pallet above grass,your bound to pick up unwanted problems.
I only buy soil that's stored indoors.No guarantee it'll be pest free but it's got a hell of a lot better odds.
