Tent heat

I just started growing in a tent 63"h 4ft long and 2ft deep. I have one 400watt apollo light setup. 2 6 inch fans. One intake one exhaust. My temp reads at 91 degrees. My seedling just sprouted its true 1st leaves. Will the heat be a problem for my baby. If so what should I do?

91 degrees is pretty high, is your light air cooled? Get a fan blowing on your light and a fan blowing across the canopy of your plants. Also make sure your thermometer isn't right next to the lights.

Thanks. My intake fan is at the bottom of my tent where my plant is. And my exhaust is up top. I'm thinking of adding another intake fan

91 is too high. See what you can do to lose 8-10 degrees, if possible. Another, or larger, intake fan may do the trick. Or you may need to look into A/C. You may want to check in the Indoor forum, as dealing with heat is a major issue for all indoor grows.

Good luck with your grow!

whats the temp in the room the tent is in? you will never get it any cooler than ambient. are you venting outside or into the same room?

For one, I'm not sure exactly what your setup is soo taking that into consideration

-you need a cooltube
-use inline fan to take heat away from light through tube
-go filter, fan, tube, and then out your tent
-vent into the roof/wall/floor
-bigger ac

Keep the one in going full-time when your lights are on, and set the exhaust on a timer (30 mins every hour to start). Make sure you also have some sort of oscillating fan to help with circulation.

Cool tubes and such are helpful, if you can afford them. Proper ventilation with inline fans should be enough given your light and set-up.
