Tent for an Ecogrower

So im currently on my 1st try and im using soil. I hate it. Im about a month from being done with the soil and finishing my 2 girls who have fought through the PH/bug/chem problems. since it was my first try I struggled along buying parts here and there and it was a NIGHTMARE! BUT! Its almost over :)

For this next try I will not be going into it un prepared. I plan to buy this EcoGrower (http://www.midwesthydroponics.com/browse-products/hydroponic-systems/drip-systems/ecogrower.html) I have seen only good reviews on it with the only bad thing is people say 6 plants get VERY cramped. To combat this I will either be growing lowryders to basically get 6 huge colas, or I will only go with 3 plants to give them 2x as much room.

During my current grow I have fought spider mites twice. The location is VERY dirty. So, for my next one with the EcoGrower I am also looking into different tents, but the only tents I can really find are a seemingly outrageous price. Its a simple tent for 400 dollars?! the tents im reffering to are the "grow labs", now this is exactly what I need but I just dont know if I can justify dropping that kinda $$ for a darn tent!

I also have no need to control odor and am running off of 6-12 42w cfls. Also temp shouldn't be much of a problem since there is central heat and AC.

Now, my question is since I really only need the tent for cleanliness purposes (I see it has many vent holes n that kinda stuff that would be un necessary)is it really my best option for a tent? Or is there something I could build or buy that would work just as well or even better? Im mainly looking for it to fit the ecogrower and be under 6ft tall.

Also I see some people say to buy a bubble strip to put in the res.

Would that be beneficial to me with that system?
Another problem that needs solving is I currently use 42w CFLs and this is what I will be sticking with. If anyone has a good hanger or ballast design for these lights to go over the octagon shape of the EcoGrow let me know! I'm at a loss haha. I currently have clamps with Y connectors all attached to a long board. But since I cant lay the plants in a line now I will need to rig something up.

I just want to be totaly prepared before going into it so any help is appreciated ^.^
