Temperature Crisis Averted (Temporary need some brains)

Well aparantly my apartment got really hot (probably the jackass neighbors under me cranking their heat.. Anyway house was at 85 Farenheit and my poor box was at 94. I upgraded to two intakes and one exhaust on a fan controler.

Now I am running at 88 (I can deal with this) but I think the issue lies in my intake system I need to create a light controlled ventilation system so i dont need the black cloth obstructing my airflow (as little as it does).

I was thinking toilet paper tubes leading to a fan chamber.

We need pics. Basically you just need a light trap but if you want advice for your setup we need pics.

Yeah I took a much smaller (shorter) box and made an airlock with a bottom air feed. Air flow has just about doubled. Right now my temperature seems to be maintaining at 84 degrees farenheit. I may also create some sort of exhaust setup as well but those two intake fans just chug like crazy now

Heh I made a shroud for my exhaust fan as well and now I have 79 degrees farenheit stable. LOVELY

cover the vent where the heat comes out of with one of the magnet thingys or just close the vent if it is a closebale one to block the haters turning the heat up

OH they dont know I grow. If they did id have to go beat them with a stick.

Im going to go ahead and call this one solved. My temp now teeters between 79 and 81 respectively. My house also gets super hot around 5:00PM during sunset. (i have a westward wall)

If your exhaust fan motor is laboring, or making a droning sound where the pitch goes up and down a little, that's because there is not enough space available for air to enter the growroom. You need to increase the intake, and the fan will run properly, and last longer.

To make an air opening light-tight, I construct a small maze-like thing that air will flow thru, but light won't. Think of a darkroom entrance maze.

Yeah I got that covered. Highest i've seen it since is 82 3 inches from my light.

The night time low in the box is 73 farenheit
