Temperature at the top of cola's

I hear the optimum temperature is between 72 and 80 when lights are on.no problem.got that covered.but where should this temperature be at the base of the plant, roots. or at the top of the plant.cola's.because I can keep my cola's at 75.but the roots the base of the plant would be like 67........69

I keep my whole grow cabinet between 75 and 80 id think if the top needs it so dose the bottom

My grow is in my basement and the grounds stays very cool, but especially in the winter months. I use these to keep em off the floor for more warmth

There is about a 7 to 8° difference between the bottom of my plants to the top of my plants.

Have 2 temp gauges, one for top the other a cooking one
to give you the soil temp, either way try to have a compromise
as above^^^^ insulate the rootzone from the floor,
even plastic packing foam or as above wheeled wagon,
its the rootzone thats real important,
the leafs and stuff can take extremes but not the roots

In hydro, you can get problems with a rez temp over 70°F. If you have silica in there, and a bunch of DO you can run with temps near that range, but in soil I'm pretty sure you can run with temperatures above that, as long as it is properly aerated and has some silica in it.

With silica the top of plants is good at 84 lights on and 72 lights out. Roots should be 62-68. Keep off floor. Keep nutes about 66 and use the same day you mix if organic. Do not airate organic nutes. If you don't know yet, silica is first nute you add and mix in well to water.

Just started to use silica, why mix first??

In its concentrated form it fuks up other nutes. Negative nute interaction. Make your plants grow funny too. If you get the big bottle it says to mix in first on the label. The smaller ones don't, when adding nutes you should mix from lights to darks and clears to cloudy. And stir each in before adding the next. I use a different measuring device for each nute.

Just a couple of degrees cooler (IMHO) as the plant has so much more control,
she can reduce her exacerbate, even more, cooler ..she can even pick which nutes to avoid, ,
thru this cooler period, see p and k reduction via the red stems and leaves
..the point is the plant can DO more underground than what she can do above,
even if she is snapped of at the base she can still grow up, depending on conditions at the time

I keep all my plants off the floor,,,,,DWC in the summer is a MUST....

UNDER 70 and under 68 is better!........60-68 for root zone temps....
