check out your local farmers almanic for the last frost date google it. anytime after that u should be fine . dont rush getting them out there if u put them out to early you could stunt them or kill them . use the old saying (id rather be safe than sorry).

thanks bro that helped much i have a bunch of books on gardening but weather is not a topic they cover i got radishes lettuce onion green onion snap peas and broccoli comin up right now i know when they need to go out i was just wondering about the REAL veggies because im gettin them started soon as well

Not trying to hijack your thread T33 but this question seems fitting. Will plants survive in a high and low of 45-29?

I doubt it bro!! im in Ind. and i plant at 4:20 50-65F high and 40-50s low and do another planting at 5:20 65-75f high and 50-60s low....and if i see the weather sayin to frost i go and cover the 4:20 girls just in case!!

Another quick hijack, but is it mosltly the temp of the plant iteslf that is a problem or is the problem more root based? I assume both, anything besides applying a layer f mulch over the soil to keep soil temps up, like possibly digging a deeper hole, and filling it with ast seasons leaves and worm castings or something, as the microbial break down gives off heat?
