I put this in general by mistake so I am posting here at the Indoor also..

Ok so as you all know its been getting hotter out in the US the past week, well since this weekend my room has been getting too damn hot!
I have it located in the attic as its the only place I can put it,

I need some advice because I thought I had everything under control but my exhaust fans have been running constantly during the day and the temp the past 2 days during the day have been 95-100f

I got 2 Dayton 265cfm fans 1 for intake 1 for exhaust, the exhaust I am using a homemade carbon filter *from someone elses post here on howto make it* They both goto vent holes in the roof!

Any ideas how I can get colder air in there? That intake fan should be more then enough no?

The room was setup kinda big, the pics you guys I posted is about half the room, if u turn the camera around youd see an identical space on the other side of the room. Thats not being used at this time (was for future use plus storage of all my ferts and stuff)

I don't have one, and im not sure exactly how easy is to put an ac in the attic...
I been thinking of running a line off my ac ducting which is in my attic to the room, and put a carbon filter on it so that the smell wont drift into the vent when its not on..

Kinda afraid to rip open that ducting though..

Very Interesting Idea And Could Work But Yea I Would Be A Little Scared To Rip Shit Up Too But You Gotta Do Something!!!!

I already thought of it..
I really don't want to spike my electric bill, I have
the 2 fans 1 intake 1 exhaust, the 400w light, and a few fluros and a fan in the room.
I was adding a new 600w so yeah those plus the air conditioner I dont want to see my electric bill.
I haven't even seen the first one as I just moved into this new place.. Not sure i want to.. Specially after adding an airconditioner thats gonna be running for half the day..
Plus I dont have 300bucks for a portable air conditioner, those fuckers arn't cheap!

Well Looks Like Your Down To Your Vent Idea, So Are You Gonna Give That A Try?

P.s. That's A Nice Looking Growroom!!!

Thanks! il take some more pix tonight when i get home from work..
I built a shelf on the right that u can sit on or put stuff on too. Its really nice just this heat issue is killing me.
I am probably gonna try my vent idea and put some kinda flap that I can cover the hole when I goto bed so it doesnt get too cold up there..

yea dont rip open your duct work, that will screw your whole a/c. you would need to run a duct(its on dedicated line) to the attic from your a/c.

Time for a hood upgrade in the attic you need liquid cooled lights or at least vented hoods. get a collar and duct of at least 6 inches. you need to make your room static or move it to the garage, this will only buy you days.
tapping into your ac will also allow odor back into your house. thats why so many indoor grower turn off the lights mar-oct.

If you can't do anything else, it would be better to use both blowers for exhaust, and provide enough open area for passive intake.

HTH

I found one of the big problems, I used duct tape to attach the exhaust fan to ducting going into the room... Well lets say when i went to go tap into my ducting in the house I noticed that the duct tape failed and it was laying there in the attic.
So basically that fan was exhausting air from my attic outside, NO air was leaving the grow room.
Well i got some of that metal ducting tape thats heat resistant and fixed it last night. We will see how that goes before I tap into my ducting.
Also as I said I was going to stick a carbon filter between the ducting to the room and the ac so that the smell wont leak back into the house.
