3 fans and only 187 watts for veging and im already running into temp problems. i have a 120mm exhaust fan from the trunk out, another 80mm exhaust fan out of the rubbermaid, and an 8 in intake fan into the rubbermaid, and another passive intake coming into the trunk. the intake and exhaust are covered with pantyhose for lightproofing but i think they are blocking airflow

ya it dose sound like the panties are blocking your flow you should either get a bigger fan system or get rid of the panties and try to find another way to cover up the light. dose the box have to be %100 discrete?

yea i need it to be pretty much completely light proof. i was thinking a 90 degree pvc but its to big and bulky ........ i was thinking just hanging a black tshirt over the back so it touchs the ground idk if that would restrict less.

I have tried using a 90 degree elbow and it works OKAY. There is still light leak, mine isn't PVC though its for a chimney because its a fairly big input (6") and it takes A LOT of room (I can only put my box in a corner and not flat against a wall). If the problem is with an output I would maybe suggest looking into dryer vents (they are generally 4") like you see at the side of houses to stop rodents and such.. I use this to seperate my different grow areas and it works well. If it is 100% important to keep your box stealthy maybe try using charcoal filters? I haven't used these yet but there are some good DIY's on here and from what I read they block the light AND keep the smell to a minimum (there main purpose).

dude how are you measuring those temps? Isit possible the thermo is sitting on something conducting heat? Those temps sound high for all the ventilation you got.

temps are down to around 84 now that i added vent caps
