tds the ppms do not add up

i just got a hm tds-4. calibrated it and checked my mix. it is at 1100. i am using dutch master advance a + b flower. their feed table says 1500 ppm. to get it that high it would be about 1 1/2 times what it say to mix. if i take my ppm up thst high will it be to much? can i just add a little daily until it gets that high? i do not want to mess these babies up. here the feed tablehttp://www.dutchmaster.com.au/?language=english&page=nutrient_calculator thanks for any help :bigjoint:

Increase slowly and watch for stress. If you see the start of burn, pull back on the PPM. Jumping too much into burn is worse than slowly moving into a burn. IMHO, I would increase weekly until I get to know what the plants like. The label is starting info and at times too much, but it is the plants you want to watch for info on how much food they need.
Nice looking green you have going on. Don't jump the gun on food and burn them.

thanks. i cut the amount to 67% to start veg and increased to 110% over the 4 weeks. i didn't have a tds meter until today. they always looked good :weed:

1100 should be good for now. I would stick with that for a week and see how they do.

Make sure the Ph is around 5.8 too.

i recalibrated the tds meter and its 932ppm. my well water is 87ppm. they are growing fine, but if they will grow better without hurting them :bigjoint:

thats for me. ph always less than 6 but i try for 5.8. :eyesmoke:

Ya, I was actually wondering if Your meter was calibrated.

The good thing about DWC, or any active hydro system, is that You can just easily adjust the res without having to flush the medium.

I wouldn't go any higher than 1500 ppm unless Your system is optimal with co2. But Your plants will tell You if its too much. Less is usually more when using nutes.

~1200-~1300 ppm is a save bet.

thanks. i am going to edge it up to 1250 and see what happens. do you think i should do 1/2 way, wait a day or 2 and up it some more?

You can try any amount You want, if You want to test the limits.

I'm just saying better to be safe than sorry, but if You see the plants burning than just add more water (and maybe ph down) to the buckets.

Some strains like more nutes than others.
