Both are reputable businesses using top of the line components..
The only big difference is Timber has a DIY kit.. So the question is DIY or completed lamp...
That's your decision..

What's the difference besides price? Both cobs w/ one driver.

You need to answer for yourself what one might offer over the other. Which COB brand would you prefer, pre built or DIY, etc, etc............

After recently building a set up. 4 Japanese 48v COBs on 120mm heat sinks. Buying the wire, metric screws, and angle aluminum for the hanger from Lowe's. Doing it all myself. The pre built stuff would have ran me an easy $200 bucks more and I'd still have to build stuff to make it work.

4 single COB set ups for $500? Not including the hanger? Nah...

Neither. I've been spoiled by individually powered and hung cobs that I can add/remove and raise/lower and angle at will.
You can make 'em for a little more than half what I paid for these pre-built. I only paid about $120 more than a single 6 COB china light with questionable drivers and older gen COBs so I can't complain.lol


Gonna be ordering parts to make 2 more myself soon.

My guess. They're charging $60 an hour in labor to assemble this stuff and nobody is in a hurry.

I like them BigSmo lights too. Should cop some for the next run to fill in my 450.
To the OP, if $'s not an issue, I'd get the Tastys.
