Tap root...

I accidentally broke the tap root of my seedling, will it grow back and be ok? The seedling seems unaffected so far.

as fdd said, it is in the hands of the Gods.
did the same at Christmas time with one of mine and was convinced that was the begining of the end. but it did not miss a beat, even though the first 2-3mm of the root tip was missing.

just give her lots of love and attention - ladies always respond to a gentle touch!

That's hope...
I was trying to give her too much attention. I started a seed in a rapid rooter and it broke the shell 2 days ago and grew to about 2". It's in a 3" net pot with hydroton and being curious I took the rooter out of the clay and checked the tap root. It was there about 1.5" long from the bottom of the rooter and healthy. Well I ended up trying to help it through the net pot and broke it. Stupid me...it would have been in the water tomorrow. I've got to let things be and just let nature take it's course. I felt afterwards. I have hope though.

i did say give attention to - not molest!lol.

but it does look like a healthy seedling to me, reckon you will be alright.

Yeah, me too...that's why I bought fem. seeds, but we all know they are not 100%.

why don't you modify that rez to fit 4 plants instead of the just 1, quadruple the yield and that light is fine

Well, I checked tonight and I have around 5-6 roots growing out the bottom of the net pot. Seems all is well even though the tap root had been damaged. I will say that she has not grown much at all since then which is probably the result. Pictures tomorrow.
