Taller/Slimmer or Shorter/Wider?

So I am just curious what's everyone's experience been if you have messed around with this. I see now a lot of the same size pots coming in shorter and wider versions.......

What is the benefit one way or the other let's say, if you're still using a 5 gallon pot and the same amount of soil, soil-less media, etc.......

Wider is better. Roots grow out more sideways than downwards

Anyone have success using the Blue Walmart fabric shopping bags as fabric pots......?

I'm running a Walmart bag placed inside a milk crate. This provides support and a place for tie downs for LST. Works great!

Yep, nice tip. Beds are best. But wider is better than tall. It also give you more headroom for foliage rather than pots. [emoji1303]

Short and fat 4.7 gal pot has worked for me.for 4+yrs
